"Flash Flood Watch" ...Flash Flood Watch in effect from midnight EDT tonight through Monday morning... The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a * Flash Flood Watch for portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York, including the following areas, in northeast New Jersey, eastern Bergen, eastern Essex, eastern Passaic, eastern Union, Hudson, western Bergen, western Essex, western Passaic, and western Union. In southeast New York, Bronx, Kings (brooklyn), New York (manhattan), northern Nassau, northern Queens, northwestern Suffolk, Orange, Richmond (staten island), Rockland, southern Nassau, southern Queens, southern Westchester, and southwestern Suffolk. * From midnight EDT tonight through Monday morning * an area of low pressure will develop along a frontal boundary to our south and pass just south and east of Long Island. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches an hour are possible and may lead to flash flooding the New York City Metro and surrounding areas. Flash flooding will also be possible for portions of the lower Hudson Valley. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. CANCELLED - Nassau Missing Persons Squad Detectives Seeking Female Westbury Teen

Michelle Lopez, 14, was last seen at her Westbury home. Lopez has gone missing on two other occasions this year, cops say.

Westbury, NY - June 5, 2017 - The Missing Persons Squad is investigating a Missing Juvenile that occurred on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 11:00 pm in Westbury.
According to detectives, Michelle Lopez, 14, was last seen at her Westbury home.  Michelle is described as a female Hispanic, 5’2” tall, 135 lbs., brown eyes and hair.  She was last seen wearing a white shirt, black pants, and white shoes.  Michelle may be in the Hempstead/Uniondale area.
NOTE: Michelle Lopez had previously gone missing and was subsequently found by authorities in January and April of this year.
Detectives request anyone with information as to the whereabouts of the above juvenile to contact the Missing Persons Squad at 516-573-7347 or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
