Riverhead, NY - May 30, 2014 - The Chamber is pleased to announce that its Golf Committee has put together a program for 2014 that golfers are sure to be excited about. This year’s participants include: Rock Hill Golf Club in Manorville (2 coupons), Island’s End Golf Course in Greenport (2 coupons), the former Great Rock Golf Club in Wading River – to be renamed by the new owners (2 coupons), and a private course, The Vineyards in Riverhead (1 coupon). Restrictions do apply for each course, but all coupons are good for the entire 2014 season ending on October 31st . The golf discount book includes 7 rounds of golf with cart included and will be made available after June 2nd for $250 only at the Riverhead Chamber of Commerce office.
Started seven years ago, the Golf Discount program was initiated as a cross promotional tool for local tourism to our many area golf courses. The Chamber markets the program out of the area so that visitors are encouraged to enjoy the local recreational opportunities we have here. Mary Hughes, Executive Director of the Chamber said that the program has been so popular that the golf courses sign up for the following year before we even get through current year; and customers start calling for the books before Christmas. And that is our goal, to keep them coming back.
