SCPD: Man Wanted for Grocery Theft

Middle Island, NY - May 29, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole groceries from a supermarket in Middle Island this week.
 
A man entered King Kullen, located at 1235 Middle Country Road, on May 25 at 3:56 p.m., and stole assorted groceries. An employee confronted the suspect and the man pushed him and punched him in the head. The suspect fled with a male driver in an older-model navy blue Dodge Ram with no license plates.
 
The suspect is described as white, 5 feet 11 inches tall, stocky with dark hair, a moustache and a beard.
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
