Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area. Radar estimates that one half to one inch of rain has already fallen, and that additional rainfall of up to one half inch is likely. * Some locations that could experience flooding include... SCPD: Man Wanted for Grocery Theft

Police are looking for a man that stole groceries and hit an employee at a Middle Island supermarket.

Middle Island, NY - May 29, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole groceries from a supermarket in Middle Island this week.
 
A man entered King Kullen, located at 1235 Middle Country Road, on May 25 at 3:56 p.m., and stole assorted groceries. An employee confronted the suspect and the man pushed him and punched him in the head. The suspect fled with a male driver in an older-model navy blue Dodge Ram with no license plates.
 
The suspect is described as white, 5 feet 11 inches tall, stocky with dark hair, a moustache and a beard.
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
