Patchogue, NY, May 2013 – Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker attended the Town of Brookhaven’s Senior May Rally on Friday, May 17 at the West Lake Inn in Patchogue. Entertainment, vendor exhibits, and a luncheon were enjoyed by over 100 seniors.
“Our seniors are such valuable members of the community,” said Legislator Anker. “They provide guidance to our younger generations. As the Vice Chairwoman of Suffolk County's Senior Committee, I will work to preserve the way of life our seniors cherish and advocate on behalf of their needs.”
The Town of Brookhaven’s Senior Citizen Division works to develop a widespread service system to assist residents 60 years of age and older. The division assists with providing transportation, volunteer services, and home maintenance for senior town residents.
