Two Men from Oyster Bay Arrested for Assault

Oyster Bay, NY - May 27th, 2014 - Second Squad detectives report the arrest of two Oyster Bay men for an Assault that occurred on May 26, 2014 at 9:55 pm in Oyster Bay.

According to detectives, after becoming involved in an altercation with two male victims, ages 17 and 18 at Roosevelt Park, the defendants Allan Nunez, 18, of 223 Mill River Road and Marvin Zavala, 18, of 117 Pine Hollow Road displayed knives and caused the 17 year old victim to sustain a laceration to his hand.

Both defendants, who fled the scene, were located a short time later inside Roosevelt Park and were placed under arrest without incident.

The 17 year old victim was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for his injury.

Both Nunez and Zavala are charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Menacing 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. They will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 05/27/2014.
