Northport Historical Society Honors Legislator William Spencer at Annual Gala & Dance

The Northport Historical Society hosted their annual Gala and Dance where they honored Legislator William R. Spencer, M.D. for his ongoing support and leadership in the Village of Northport.

Northport, NY - May 26, 2016 - The Northport Historical Society hosted their annual Gala and Dance at the Northport Yacht Club and honored Legislator William R. Spencer, M.D. for his ongoing support and leadership in the Village of Northport. The event was celebrated by over 100 friends of the Historical Society including trustees, members, volunteers and Northport residents. 

“The Northport Historical Society is a jewel within this wonderful downtown. Their open doors invite folks to connect with a vibrant history and their programs, which go outside their doors and into the community, bring history to the people. I am humbled to have been recognized by this organization and I share this honor with everyone who works hard to showcase the history of Northport as well as those working hard for its future,” stated Legislator William R. Spencer, M.D. 

The Gala featured live and silent auctions, raffle baskets, dinner and dancing and music performed by the North Shore Trio. All proceeds went to benefit the Society’s community and educational programs.
