Elmont Man Arrested for Burglary

Defendant accused of stealing multiple items from an Elmont residence.

Elmont, NY - May 25, 2014 - The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of an Elmont man for Burglary that occurred on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 1:29 pm.
 
According to detectives, on May 23, 2014 the defendant Amir M. Gardner, 16 of 363 Hill entered a residence on Hill Drive and removed an X-Box, Samsung Galaxy Tablet, PlayStation 4 and 6 pairs of sneakers. Later the defendant via the internet messaged some friends that he had items for sale. The value of the items is undetermined. A subsequent police investigation led detectives to the defendant Amir M. Gardner at his residence at which time he was placed into police custody without incident. Some proceeds were recovered.
 
The defendant Amir M. Gardner is charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and will be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Sunday, May 25, 2014.
