NCPD: 18-Year-Old Wantagh Resident Treated with Narcan
Wantagh, NY - May 24, 2014 - The First Precinct reports the details of a possible drug overdose that occurred in Wantagh at 3:54pm on May 24, 2014.
Police Officers responded along with the Wantagh Fire Department to a residence on Logan Road for an eighteen year old male who was unconscious with shallow breathing. The family notified responding personnel that the male had a history of heroin use. The paramedic administered Narcan to the male; he began to regain consciousness and was transported to the Nassau University Medical Center by the Wantagh Fire Department Ambulance for further evaluation and treatment.
