NCPD Crime Alert:Teen Shot to Death in Hempstead

The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Homicide that occurred at 11:50pm on May 23, 2014 in Hempstead.

Update - 3:00 PM - The victim has been identified as Robert Brown (pictured right), 16, of Westbury.   
Original Release - Hempstead, NY - May 24th, 2014 - 12:15 PM - The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Homicide that occurred at 11:50pm on May 23, 2014 in Hempstead.
According to Detectives, Hempstead Police Officers responded to a 911 call in front of 245 Bennett Avenue.  Upon arrival, Officers found a sixteen year old male victim with a gunshot wound.  The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced at 2:09am by a hospital physician.  The investigation is ongoing.
Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous.
