Silver Alert Issued for Medford Man Who Suffers Schizophrenia

The Suffolk County Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing man from Medford.

Joshua Allen, 20, of Medford, has been missing since May 18. He was last seen in Bay Shore. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 631-852-6410 or call 911.

Medford, NY - May 19, 2016 - The Suffolk County Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing man from Medford.

Joshua Allen, 20, of Medford, was last seen at a bus stop near the South Shore Mall, located at 1701 Sunrise Highway, Bay Shore, at approximately 7:30 a.m. on May 18.

Allen, who suffers from schizophrenia, is described as a black male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, approximately 185 pounds. He has a dark complexion, brown eyes and  black hair / dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, gray-colored camouflage shorts and tan-colored sneakers.

Anyone with information on Allen’s whereabouts is asked to call the Suffolk County Police Communications Duty Officer at 631-852-6410 or call 911. 

As a reminder, Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
