Smithtown Man Nabbed by SCPD for Public Lewdness at Smith Haven Mall Book Store, Parking Lot

Lake Grove, NY - May 15, 2017 - Suffolk County Police have arrested a Smithtown man for committing several acts of lewdness during the past week at the Smith Haven Mall.
 
A woman was inside Barnes and Noble on May 13 when she observed a man masturbating while sitting at the table next to her. The woman fled and notified police.
 
Following an investigation by Fourth Squad detectives, Samuel Bartolotto was arrested on May 14 at approximately 7 p.m. Detectives determined that in addition to the incident on May 13, Bartolotto had also masturbated in his vehicle in the parking lot of the mall on May 8 and May 12.
 
Bartolotto, 26, was charged with three counts of Public Lewdness and will be arraigned at a later date.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
