Bay Shore, NY - May 12, 2015 - The New York State Police-Brentwood-BCI, has been conducting an investigation into the violent assault of a female found by Uniform Troopers on April 27, 2015, on the shoulder of the Southern State Parkway, westbound, Town of Babylon, NY.

The investigation revealed that the victim and Antoine Smiley were visiting the home of Shavonne White and Justin Mickens located at West Babylon, NY. While there an argument ensued and the victim, along with Smiley, White and Mickens entered Smiley’s vehicle, a Grey 2012 Dodge Avenger. Shortly thereafter they travelled to Bay Shore, NY where Smiley stopped the vehicle and violently assaulted the victim. He then forced her back into the vehicle and traveled on the Southern State Parkway exiting at Exit 37N, Belmont Avenue, where according to witnesses the victim was pushed from the vehicle.

New York State Police Investigators arrested and charged White with Attempted Assault 1st and Assault 2nd and Mickens with Hindering Prosecution after they were indicted by a Suffolk County Grand Jury.

Both were processed without incident and detained awaiting arraignment.
