Old Beathpage, NY - May 6th, 2014 - The Second Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Auto Accident that occurred in Old Bethpage on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 11:55 am.
According to detectives, Edward H. Daubel, 71, of Port Jefferson was driving his 2007 white Winnebago south on Round Swamp Road in the vicinity of Old Bethpage Road when he suffered a medical condition that caused him to lose control of the vehicle striking a tree and a utility pole. The driver was transported to a nearby local hospital by the Plainview Fire Department and pronounced by a hospital physician. A 68 year old female passenger was transported by a Nassau County Police Ambulance to a local hospital for treatment regarding pains to her neck, head and bruising. The vehicle was impounded for a brake and safety check. The investigation is ongoing.
