America’s Freshest Ice Cream Celebrates Free Cone Day with an Opportunity to Give Back to the American Red Cross.

Long Island, NY April 25th, 2013 – Carvel America’s Freshest Ice Cream™, is marking April 25 as Free Cone Day. On April 25, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., participating Carvel Ice Cream shoppes will be offering a free junior cone of their famous “America’s Freshest Ice Cream.” Carvel will also be selling coupon books, with up to $20.00 in savings included and all proceeds from the sale will benefit the American Red Cross.

“Free Cone Day at Carvel Ice Cream Shoppes means summer is near. This year it is both an opportunity to indulge with a cone of America’s Freshest Ice Cream while giving back to the community through the American Red Cross’ Disaster Relief Fund,” said Lori Peterson, vice president of marketing at Carvel Ice Cream.

Customers visiting participating Carvel shoppes on Free Cone Day can expect a complimentary junior-size serving of America’s Freshest Ice Cream. Customers can also purchase the $2.00 coupon book benefiting the American Red Cross. Carvel will be making a $25,000 charitable donation to the American Red Cross.
