Hempstead Man Arrested for Cashing Deceased Mother's Social Security Checks

Freeport, NY - April 24th, 2015 - The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Hempstead man for grand larceny which occurred in Freeport beginning Monday, 10/06/14 through 02/06/15.
 
According to detectives, Tony Theirse, 43, of Martin Luther King Dr., entered PLS check cashing located at 10 E. Sunrise Hwy., on different dates, and cashed numerous Social Security checks, belonging to his deceased mother, valued in excess of $3,000. The defendant also cashed additional forged checks made payable to his mother after her death. 
 
Major Case Bureau detectives arrested Theirse on Thursday, 04/23/15, in front of his residence.  He is being charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, five counts of Possession Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and will be arraigned on Friday, 04/24/15 in First District Court, Hempstead.
