SCPD Crime Alert: Woman Wanted for Stealing Groceries from Commack ShopRite

Commack, NY - April 24th, 2014 -  Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who stole items from a grocery store in Commack in January.

A woman entered Shoprite with three children, located at 1 Garet Place, put items in her cart and left the store without paying on January 19 at approximately 10:05 a.m. Store security stopped her outside but she was able to flee in a white Mercedes SUV with license plate number EXX 1967. The suspect fled without the proceeds.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
