Uniondale, NY - April 24th, 2014 - The Third Squad reports the details of an arrest of a Hempstead man for a Burglary that occurred on March 29, 2014 at 2:25 a.m. in Uniondale.

According to detectives, the defendant Dontae Squires, 21, of 115 Terrace Avenue was observed climbing through the rear window of a residence on Lawrence Street when confronted by a 22 year old male victim.  The defendant stated he had a gun and ordered the victim to hand him his laptop and cell phone.  The victim complied and the defendant fled scene with the proceeds.  The investigation led to locating the defendant on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 10:45 a.m. in the vicinity of his residence.

The defendant Squires is charged with Burglary 1st degree and will be arraigned on April 25, 2014 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
