Hempstead Man Arrested for Burglarizing Hicksville AT&T Store

Hicksville, NY - April 20th, 2015 - Second Squad detectives report the arrest of a Hempstead man for a burglary that occurred in Hicksville on Saturday, 04/18/15 at 3:00 A.M.

According to detectives, Christopher Lide, 32, of Sutton St., entered an AT&T cellular phone store located at 263 W. Old Country Rd. by breaking the front door glass. Once inside, the defendant took cash and several phones and IPads from the store and fled the scene.  

At approximately 3:00 P.M., detectives located the defendant, through a tracking device on one of the stolen phones, driving on the Southern State Pkwy., where he was stopped and placed under arrest.

Lide is being charged with Burglary 3rd Degree and will be arraigned on Sunday, 04/19/15 in First District Court, Hempstead.
