Riverhead, NY - April 20, 2015 - East End Arts is pleased to announce the exciting new art show at the Rosalie Dimon Gallery, at the Jamesport Manor Inn (located at 370 Manor Lane in Jamesport, NY) featuring East End Arts members: photography by Katherine Liepe-Levinson of Riverhead, NY and stained glass works by Maria Daddino of East Quogue, NY. The show opens on Friday, May 1 and will be up for viewing until July 29, 2015. An Artists’ Reception will be held on Sunday, May 17 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Rosalie Dimon Gallery, where the public will have the opportunity to meet the artists. Local wines and artisanal cheeses will be served. The public is invited to this free event. The exhibition is open for viewing during the Jamesport Manor Inn’s open hours: Wednesdays through Sundays, 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM during lunch and dinner service.

Photographer Katherine Liepe-Levinson trained at the International Center for Photography in New York City, from 2008 through 2012. Her work has been displayed on journal, magazine, and book covers, and in Dan’s Papers. Her clients have included museums, corporations, small businesses, and performing artists. Katherine’s fine art photography continues to be exhibited in galleries, as well as invitational and juried shows. In addition to photography, Katherine has performed as a professional dancer, actor, and writer on and off Broadway. She has a PhD in Theatre from New York City's CUNY Graduate Center and she has taught full-time at Colgate University and Hunter College. Katherine comments: "The works for this show come from a new series I have been working on for the past two years called, The Pond Series. All works were shot at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge on Long Island. The subtle fresh water pond, with its changing water tables and interdependent flora and fauna, is a testament to the preciousness of our natural resources, which we too often take for granted or neglect."

Stained glass artist Maria Daddino's panels have been on display in several East End Arts exhibits. Her mermaid, “Arianna Waits” was exhibited at “Clothing Optional", an invitational show at The Remsenburg Academy, as well as at WPPB’s Media Mavens Mixed Media Juried Art Show. “From the moment I first saw a Tiffany glass creation, I was in love...” Maria Daddino reflects, “I stared transfixed as the light danced through the soft pinks and greens of that Tiffany Dogwood Lamp. Forty years later I can easily recall the excitement of discovering such astonishing beauty.” Daddino is a self-taught artist, whose inspiration is nature... its nuances, textures, hues and moods transposed into her original glass designs. ‘Simpatico’ is the word she uses to describe the way she feels about her sheets of richly colored, uniquely textured and eclectic glass. Acquired over many years, each piece in her glass collection was chosen to reflect her love of nature with colors that mirror the wildlife that surrounds her.
