Nassau County, NY - April 17th, 2015 - The Third Squad reports the details of a Grand Larceny arrest at 3:45pm on Thursday, April 16, 2015.

According to Detectives, between the dates of January 7, 2015 and April 1, 2015 the defendant Kevin W. Hargrove, 24, of Covert Street Apt. 2B Brooklyn did enter numerous Stop&Shop stores in Nassau County and did go to the self-checkout counter to purchase diapers approximately fourteen times.

The defendant scanned bar codes for cheaper items, for approximately $1, instead of the actual bar code representing the diapers. The defendant then fled the store paying the lesser amount   for the items than originally marked by Stop&Shop.

The defendant was placed into custody at his residence in Brooklyn without incident.

Defendant Hargrove is charged with one count of Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and two counts of Falsifying Business Records 2nd Degree.  He will be arraigned on Friday, April 17, 2015 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
