NCPD Crime Alert: Man Wanted for Freeport Robbery

Freeport, NY - April 17th, 2014 -  First Squad detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred in Freeport on Wednesday, 04/16/2014 at 2:15 P.M.

According to detectives, a male subject, armed with a black handgun, approached a female victim, 33, on Sunrise Highway and took her cell phone.  He then stated they were going to walk back to her house on Randall Ave. and that she was to give him no less than $5,000.  Once in front of the home, the victim grabbed the gun, the subject pulled the gun away and fired two shots, missing the victim.  The subject fled on foot southbound on North Brookside Ave.

No injuries were reported.

The subject is described as a male black, 21 years of age, 6’ tall, medium build, medium complexion, wearing a black mask, black gloves, dark gray hooded sweatshirt, black sweat pants and black sneakers.
