Man Impersonating Cop Attempts to Confiscate All Cigarettes from West Hempstead Store

NCPD are seeking the pictured subject in connection with a Criminal Impersonation incident that occurred in West Hempstead, NY.

West Hempstead, NY - April 12, 2017 - Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are seeking the public’s help with locating the pictured subject. The subject is wanted in connection with a Criminal Impersonation incident that occurred in West Hempstead, NY.
 
On Monday, January 16, 2017, at approximately 5:30 P.M., the pictured subject entered the A&Y Grill Company located at 691 Woodfield Road in West Hempstead, and identified himself as a Police Officer. The subject then displayed a gold badge, and attempted to steal all the cigarettes in the store claiming they were expired. 
 
When the victim advised the subject that he needed to make the store owner aware of what was happening, the subject fled the scene in an unknown direction.
