NCPD: 10 "Project 21" Arrests Made

Hempstead, NY - April 12, 2014 - The Fourth Precinct in conjunction with the Hempstead Police reports the Arrests of 10 individuals during the “Project 21” initiative which targets the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to minors within the confines of Nassau County. This initiative was conducted on Friday, April 11, 2014.
 
According to police, with the assistance of an underage agent, the following individuals were arrested for selling alcohol to a minor.
  • Defendant Enrique Estevez, 38 of 94 Morrell Street, Hempstead sold alcohol to a minor from 589 Fulton Avenue in Hempstead.
  • Defendant Alie Sertel, 41, of 31 Princeton Street, Hempstead sold alcohol to a minor from 699 Fulton Avenue in Hempstead.
  • Defendant Julio Rodriguez, 51, of 41 Wallace Avenue, Freeport sold alcohol to a minor from 719 Fulton Avenue in Hempstead. 
  • Defendant Reeinberto Rivera, 64, of 24 Webb Avenue, Hempstead sold alcohol to a minor from 159 Baldwin Road in Hempstead.
  • Defendant Pervaiz A. Chaudhry, 55, of 92 Page Lane, Westbury sold alcohol to a minor from 435 Clinton Street in Hempstead.
  • Defendant Bobby Singh, 36, of 1783 Jerusalem Avenue, Merrick sold alcohol to a minor from 404 Clinton Street in Hempstead.
  • Defendant Lesbin J. Lopez-Calix, 25, of 141 Dartmouth Street, Hempstead sold alcohol to a minor from 363 West Clinton Street in Hempstead.
  • Defendant David Taveras, 29, of 30 Madison Avenue, Rockville Centre sold alcohol to a minor from 158 Main Street in Hempstead.
  • Defendant Miguel Estevez, 54 of 800 Wellwood Avenue, Lindenhurst sold alcohol to a minor from 149 Main Street in Hempstead.
  • Defendant Marvin Calero, 41, of 946 Brush Hollow Road, Westbury sold alcohol to a minor from 361 Clinton Street in Hempstead.
All of the defendants were released on an Appearance Tickets and will appear in First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday, May 7 2014.
