UPDATE - April 10, 2017 - Upon further investigation there appears to be no apparent criminality at this time. Nassau County Medical Examiner’s Office has deemed both deceased to be female. The investigation is ongoing.

Valley Stream, NY - April 10, 2017 - The Homicide Squad is investigating a Homicide which occurred on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 11:06 pm in Valley Stream.
According to detectives, Fifth Precinct patrol officers responded to a call for a car fire in the Sears parking garage located at the Green Acres Mall. Upon extinguishing the fire they located a victim inside the vehicle who was pronounced deceased at scene.
Upon further investigation it was determined a second deceased victim was discovered. It is believed at this time, one (1) victim is a male and one (1) victim is a female. The investigation is ongoing.
