The organizers of the Long Island Fight for Charity annunce The Chateau Briand as the sponosor and host for its its “Final Call for Boxers and Boxer Announcement” reception on May 20, 2013.

Carle Place, NY - April 10th, 2013 - The organizers of the Long Island Fight for Charity have announced that that it will hold its "Final Call for Boxers and Boxer Announcement" reception in the Garden Oasis area of The Chateau Briand in Carle Place,which is sponsoring and hostng the event. During this event, participants in the 10th main event that is taking place in November will be announced and the final call will be made for "celebrity boxers" to fill a limited number of remaining slots. This upscale networking event will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Chateau Briand, located at 440 Old Country Road, Carle Place, NY. Sponsors, boxers and supporters will enjoy an evening of food, beverages and music. Tickets are $10 with advanced R.S.V.P. (www.lifightforcharity.org) and $20 at the door.

The 10th Long Island Fight for Charity scheduled for Monday, November 25, 2013 is expected to attract more than 1,200 people and raise more than $200,000 for local not-for-profit charitable organizations. At the upcoming Final Call reception the names of the 17 boxers participating in this year’s fight will be announced. This will also be the last call for men and women to get involved in this unique marketing experience that benefits charities including the Long Island Community Chest, The Genesis School and the National Foundation for Human Potential.

Individuals interested in volunteering to become a boxer need to complete an application, obtain medical clearance and make a commitment to train, attend events and raise funds. Application requests should be sent to wjcorbett@corbettpr.com.
