Riverhead, NY - April 10th, 2013 - The Riverhead Chamber of Commerce wants to help you get in shape for the season – business shape! In their first “Eggs & Issues” of the year, the Chamber will be hosting representatives from Suffolk County and LIPA/National Grid to review programs that businesses may be not be taking advantage of. Presentation begins over breakfast at 8:00am on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 2038 Old Country Road, Riverhead.

Lisa Broughton
Suffolk County Bio/High Technology Development Specialist and Energy Director
As an economic developer, Lisa serves as a point person for manufacturing companies and businesses in the emerging fields of clean energy, high technology and bio-technology in the Suffolk County Department of Economic Development and Planning. She also runs the Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club, fields calls from new businesses and is liaison to the Small Business Advisory Council. She is the project manager on the 13 megawatt Solar Carport Project and County's Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant. She supports clean energy companies that locate or expand in Suffolk County.
Tim Harris
Economic Development Specialist, LIPA/National Grid
Tim works closely with the Empire State Development Corporation, Suffolk County, and the IDA's in the region as a representative of LIPA and National Grid to attract and maintain customers to the region. He promotes the very aggressive National Grid and LIPA energy efficiency programs and has coordinated many meetings with energy efficiency specialists and companies in Suffolk County. These efficiency programs are both custom and prescription and are offered to new and existing businesses. The energy savings from these programs have helped companies save significant dollars on gas and electric costs and reduced their overall carbon footprint.
The Riverhead Chamber routinely presents issues to its members, and the business community at large, that may affect the way they do business.
