Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today in Mastic.

Update - April 10th, 2015 -  Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are releasing surveillance photos of a suspect who robbed HSBC Bank, located at 1718 Montauk Highway in Shirley on April 9 at approximately 1 p.m.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

Mastic, NY - April 9th, 2015 - Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today in Mastic.
 
A man entered HSBC Bank, located at 1718 Montauk Highway, at approximately 1 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding cash and threatening the use of a gun. The teller complied with the demand and gave the man cash from the drawer. The man fled on foot
northbound through the parking lot.
 
The man was described as white, between 50 and 55 years old, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build and salt-and-pepper colored facial hair.
 
The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
