NCPD: Arrest Made for Forged Oxycodone Prescription

Lindenhurst, NY - April 9, 2014 - The Narcotics/Vice Squad reports the details of the arrest of a Lindenhurst man for Possession of a Forged Instrument on April 8, 2014 at 12:50 pm.
 
According to detectives, on November 15, 2013, Jose Jovanne Delacruz of 14 Newark Street entered Hempstead Drugs located at 397 Fulton Avenue, Hempstead and passed a forged prescription for Oxycodone. 
 
On December 26, 2013, Delacruz again entered the same location to pass another forged prescription for Oxycodone.  The pharmacist identified the prescription to be fake and notified police. After an investigation, the defendant was arrested on April 8, 2014 at his residence without incident.
 
Jose Jovanne Delacruz was charged with two counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and was arraigned on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
