Additional minor coastal flooding is possible around the times of high tide Friday night. * Impacts...minor flooding of some shore roads and/or properties due to height of storm tide. Most roads should remain passable... with only isolated closures. There is no significant threat to life...and any impact on property is minimal. Precautionary/preparedness actions... Nassau County PD: Three Arrested for Hicksville Robbery

The Second Squad reports three arrests for Robbery that occurred in Hicksville on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 6:34 p.m.

Hicksville, NY - April 8th, 2014 - The Second Squad reports three arrests for Robbery that occurred in Hicksville on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 6:34 p.m.

According to detectives, a 21 year old male victim was with defendants Alex Mercado-Silva, 24, of 60 Grove Street, MassapequaJarrell Smith, 20, of 47 Robert Avenue, Massapequa and Teresa Montagnino, 16, of 6 4th Street, South Farmingdale and were having a conversation in the rear parking lot of 20 West Village Green.  Defendant Mercado-Silva then displayed a black pistol at the victim and demanded his Air Jordan sneakers.  Defendant Smith removed a cell-phone and undetermined amount of US currency from victims pockets.  All three defendants entered into a 1999 Chrysler Sebring and left in unknown direction.  Bureau of Special Operations officers were able to locate the defendants and conducted a car stop at a Shell Gas Station located 3356 Jerusalem Avenue in Wantagh.  During this time, officers recovered a black handgun from the vehicle.  All three defendants were placed in custody without incident.

All defendants were charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Robbery 2nd Degree.  Defendant Mercado-Silva was additional charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree and Criminal Use of a Firearm 2nd Degree.  All three defendants will be arraigned on Tuesday April 8, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
