Long Island, NY - April 8, 2014 - JVC Broadcasting and Long Island Cares, Inc. will once again partner to host a series of food drives as part of the 2014 Summer Concert Series at the Pennysaver Amphitheater at Bald Hill.  Concert goers are encouraged to bring a donation of non-perishable food, personal care products, pet food, baby diapers and formula, or other items to support Long Island Cares, Inc. - The Harry Chapin Food Bank.  Staff and volunteers will be at every concert collecting donations, selling merchandise, and distributing information about Long Island Cares' food assistance and self-sufficiency programs that support Nassau and Suffolk County communities.

"Partnering with JVC Broadcasting and the Pennysaver Amphitheater for a summer concert food drive just makes sense," said Elana Sissons, Food Drive Coordinator at Long Island Cares, Inc.  "We are going into the community and reminding people that they can fight hunger and enjoy their families.  It is a great learning experience for children and hits home with Harry Chapin fans."

The summer concert series kicks-off on Saturday, June 21 with the BEER FIELDS CRAFT BEER and MUSIC FESTIVAL featuring a performance by MATISYAHU.
