Suffolk Police Seeking Suspect in Several West Islip Church Burglaries

SCPD are seeking the public’s help in identifying a person who was seen in the vicinity of several burglaries of a West Islip church.

West Islip, NY – April 7, 2017 – Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating a person of interest who was seen in the vicinity of several burglaries that have occurred at a West Islip church during the past two weeks.  
 
Unknown person(s) burglarized Our Lady of Lourdes Church, located at 455 Hunter Ave., sometime between March 22 and March 29. A second burglary occurred during the morning of April 2, and a third burglary occurred during the overnight hours between April 2 and 3. Proceeds of the burglaries appear to be donation money. The man in the photos was seen at the church during the timeframes of the burglaries and detectives would like to speak with him about the cases. 
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
