LION Asks Residents to Help Crack Down on Suffolk Puppy Mills and Brookhaven Rodeos
Brookhaven, NY - April 7, 2014 - Long Island Orchestrating for Nature has rleased the following statements:

Dear Lions and Lionesses,
We have gotten news that a rodeo is setting up in Coram! Please join us for a Brookhaven Town meeting at One Independence Hill, Farmingville, NY 11738 starting at 5 O'Clock. (Please sign up to speak starting at 4:40pm. Your voice matters!)
Not only will we be asking the Town to deny Rodeo Tierra Caliente its permits based on animal cruelty, public safety, and quality of life concerns, but we will be asking the Town to pass legislation that would prohibit such a cruel and dangerous act from ever showing its ugly face in the Town of Brookhaven again.

Puppy Mills
Last week, LION joined the Humane Society of the United States, the ASPCA, and local advocates at a meeting with Suffolk County pet dealers and legislators to discuss pending legislation that would help puppies and kittens in Suffolk County and their parents living in cruel mills.
