Huntington, NY - April 4th, 2016 -  On Thursday, March 31st, 2016, Second Precinct Community Liaison Officer Claudia Delgado was one of three honorees at the 2016 Tri Community & Youth Agency (Tri CYA) Hall of Honor Cocktail Party and Dinner. Officer Claudia Delgado was chosen for this honor by Tri CYA for her unselfish commitment to the youth of the community.

Police Officer Claudia Delgado has been a Suffolk County Police Officer for approximately six years. She is currently the Community Liaison Officer for the Second Precinct. Her enthusiasm, commitment and love for the community all contribute to her success in this position.

Officer Delgado has the innate ability to interact with all members of the community. She regularly engages with community leaders to help organize numerous community events. A few of the more recent events she is responsible for helping to organize are; Vamos A Hablar (Let’s Talk) at numerous schools and churches, National Night Out, PAL sponsored fishing trips, Shop with a Cop, Basketball tournaments and free Holiday Turkey Giveaways.

Officer Delgado has indeed become an outstanding goodwill ambassador for the Second Precinct’s community relations programs.

Attending this event in support of Officer Delgado were Second Precinct Executive Officer, Deputy Inspector Bill Read, Community Response Bureau Lieutenant, Matthew O’Malley, Community Response Bureau Sergeant, Kathleen Kenneally, Detective John Chiquitucto, Police Officers Anthony Iadevaio, Drew Fiorillo, Jaime Wendt and Intelligence Analyst Matt Haas.

Second Precinct Commanding Officer Christopher Hatton congratulates Officer Delgado for her outstanding positive influence in the Huntington. Inspector Hatton also congratulates Mr. James Polanski, Huntington School District Superintendent and Guru Nanak’s Kitchen for their induction into the Tri CYA Hall of Honor.
