Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man who was found in a wooded area in Middle Island yesterday afternoon.

Middle Island, NY - April 3rd, 2016 - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man who was found in a wooded area in Middle Island yesterday afternoon.
 
A woman was walking her dog at approximately 2:45 p.m. on a path in the wooded area behind the former Kmart store, located at 1075 Middle Country Road, when she discovered the body of a man who was apparently shot to death.
 
The man, who was later identified as Alexander P. Incorvia, 26, was a resident at the Comfort Inn, located at 2695  Route 112, Medford and had been reported missing on Thursday, March 31, 2016. He was last seen leaving his residence in the morning on Tuesday, March 29.
 
Incorvia’s body was transported to the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner where an autopsy will be performed.
