Nassau County, NY - April 2, 2014 - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today released the April through July calendar of events for the Nassau County Aquatic Center, located in Eisenhower Park. The event schedule is as follows:

April 2014
Saturday, April 5th & Sunday April 6th: Suffolk County Champs

• Saturday, April 5th: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Sunday, April 6th: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Regular Operating Hours. Parking and/or pool space may be limited.

Thursday, April 10th: Pool closed from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Saturday, April 12th & Sunday, April 13th: Mini Mighty Man Triathlon

• Saturday, April 12th: 6:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (pool use from 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.)
• Sunday, April 13th: 6:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (pool use from 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.)

May 2014
Saturday, May 3rd & Sunday, May 4th: Cinco de Mayo Dive Meet

• Saturday, May 3rd: 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

*Sunday, May 4th: Long Island Marathon Day. Pool opens at 11:00 a.m.

• Saturday, May 17th: 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
• Sunday, May 18th: 8:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, May 24th: Empire State Memorial Dive Meet

• 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

    Sunday, June 8th: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Wednesday, July 2nd: L.I. Swimming Meet

• 4:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Friday, July 4th: Fourth of July. Facility closes at 1:00 p.m.

*Diving Boards, Jacuzzi and sauna are closed during event hours.

Nassau County Aquatic Center
Centrally located in Eisenhower Park on Merrick Avenue in East Meadow, the Nassau County Aquatic Center is one of the premier swimming facilities in the country. Built in 1998 for the Goodwill Games, it serves the general public as well as competitive swimmers. The Aquatic Center regularly hosts college and local high school competitive swimming and diving meets and has hosted scores of Olympians, including Michael Phelps.
