Nassau County, NY - April 2, 2014 - Building upon his Fit Nassau initiative to help residents live a healthy lifestyle, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano has released the registration dates for the 2014 Summer Session Swim Lessons, and Land and Aquatic Exercise Classes at the Nassau County Aquatic Center at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow.

Important Dates for the Summer 2014 Session:

Monday, April 14th: Schedule is released and lottery applications begin to be accepted for youth swim lessons. All lottery registrations are final after they are entered. Please double check to confirm you are entering the correct level.

Sunday, April 20th: Lottery applications due by 5:00 p.m.

Monday, April 21st: Adult swim lessons, aquatic fitness, land fitness & lifestyle class registration starts at 8:00 a.m. There is no lottery for these classes – registration is first come, first serve.

Tuesday, April 22nd: Lottery results will be available beginning at 9:00 a.m. Payment for class spots will be accepted beginning today. Payment hours are between 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on weekends. IMPORTANT NOTE: Enrollee is responsible for finding out if child won a class spot from the lottery. We will not call you. Please call (516) 572-0501 for results.

Sunday, April 27th: Payments for class spots are due by 5:00 p.m. Unpaid spots will be released to waitlist enrollees.

Tuesday, April 29th: Waitlist people will start being called to fill in unpaid spots. NOTE: Please don’t call us; you will receive a call if a spot is available.

Friday, May 2nd: Last chance open registration begins at 8:00 a.m. for any remaining class spots. The availability of remaining classes will be made public the day before at 5:00 p.m. (Thursday, May 1st)

Monday, May 12th: First day of classes for the Summer session.

Centrally located in Eisenhower Park on Merrick Avenue in East Meadow, the Nassau County Aquatic Center is one of the premier swimming facilities in the country. Built in 1998 for the Goodwill Games, it serves the general public as well as competitive swimmers.
