Brokerage Comedy Club Fundraiser Supports Long Island Crisis Center's 24/7, Free & Anonymous Services

On Thursday, April 24th, Long Island Crisis Center will be holding a fundraiser at The Brokerage Comedy Cluv, located at 2797 Merick Road in Bellmore.

Bellmore, NY - April 1, 2014 - On Thursday, April 24th, Long Island Crisis Center will be holding a fundraiser at The Brokerage Comedy Club, located at 2797 Merrick Road in Bellmore. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and guests must be seated by 7:30 p.m. Admission is $20 per person (plus 2 drink minimum - includes soda, coffee/tea).

Proceeds from the evening will support the Crisis Center's 24/7, free and anonymous services that helps all Long Islander's with crisis intervention and suicide prevention.

"We are seeing a lot of issues coming up on Long Island," reports Executive Director Linda Leaonard. "Heroin use is up, suicide among baby boomers and veterans and their families is up, cyber bullying is still plaguing our young people and many community members are still recovering from Hurricane Sandy. It is so important that there is a 24/7 hotline that any one, at any time, for any problem can access."
