North Merrick, NY - March 31, 2014 - Long Island-based tribute bands The Liverpool Shuffle, Captain Jack, and Beginnings will strike a chord for Long Island children with autism while performing popular hits of The Beatles, Billy Joel and Chicago, respectively, during The Mosaic Foundation for Autism’s Super Star Tribute Band Concert for Autism. This charitable musical show will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at Brookside School, located at 1260 Meadowbrook Road in North Merrick, NY.

“It is so uplifting to see these three popular tribute bands known for celebrating our musical greats performing together to lend support for our mission in raising autism awareness,” says Lauretta Murdock, a mother of two sons with autism who is Founder of both The Mosaic Foundation for Autism in Wantagh, NY and The Mosaic School for Autism in Wantagh, NY. “It is our hope that people will attend our ‘Super Star Tribute Band Concert’ where they will not only have the opportunity to enjoy a fun night of music but also extend some love and support for children with autism.”

“Captain Jack is excited to participate in this charitable event to help support The Mosaic Foundation for Autism mission in promoting more awareness about autism and raising funds to support the futures of individuals with autism,” says Captain Jack Band Leader and Drummer Sal DiMarco. “We’re delighted to use the popularity of Billy Joel’s music as a means of generating more autism awareness and support for today’s autism community.”
