April Fools? No Joke: LI Racks Up Over 3 Inches of Snow Last Day of March

Written by Cait Russell  |  31. March 2014

Monday Morning, Long Island woke up to a stark white surprise - a blanet of snow coating cars, roadways, and homes - Mother Nature's last big laugh as we enter the month of April. Although this isn't the most accumulation we've seen this year, for many, it's certainly been the most shocking - yesterday evening's weather report indicated today would be rainy - only early this morning did the forecast change! Plows could be seen out in force on roadways this morning, however, this morning's commute was quite a messy one for most Long Islanders - roadways were messy, since there was not much warning or time to prepare for the snow.
