SCPD are seeking the public’s help to identify the man who stole and used the credit card number of a Stony Brook resident.

Stony Brook, NY – March 30, 2017 – Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Identity Theft detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole the credit card number of a Stony Brook resident and used it to make purchases last year.
 
A man stole the credit card number of a Stony Brook resident and used it to buy more than $4,200 worth of Target gift cards online in November, 2016. The man had the cards shipped to the UPS facility in Farmingville
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
