Mastic, NY – March 29, 2017 – Suffolk County SPCA Detectives charged a Mastic woman with Animal Cruelty on March 27th, 2017.
 
Donna Spall, 45, was charged with animal neglect for failure to provide proper sustenance. Thirty five (35) cats were seized from the location. Once the cats have been treated and are healthy they will be available for adoption at a later date.  Additional charges may be added.
 
Spall will appear in First District Court in Central Islip on May 25th, 2017.
 
Chief Gross said that animal cruelty will not be tolerated in Suffolk County. If you witness any incident of animal cruelty or neglect in Suffolk County please contact the Suffolk County SPCA at (631) 382-7722.  All calls will be kept confidential.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
