NCPD Nabs Pair Responsible for String of Break Ins

Syosset, NY - March 29th, 2014 - The Second Squad reports two arrests for Burglary which occurred on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 2:54 A.M. in Syosset.
 
According to detectives, Nicholas P. Mustakas, 19, of 17 Vernon Avenue, East Norwich and Nicole E. Ottaiano, 23, of 7 Mariners Walk, Oyster Bay, were located and arrested in Syosset for a Burglary which occurred at a Singleworth Street, Oyster Bay home on Wednesday, March 26, 2014.  An investigation found the suspects to be in possession of stolen property from the burglary including electronics and jewelry.  During this investigation it was also discovered they burglarized the same home on Thursday, January 9, 2014 and a second home located on Muttontown Lane, East Norwich on Sunday, January 26, 2014 and Sunday, February 16, 2014 in which undisclosed items were taken.
 
The defendants are charged with four counts of Burglary 2nd degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree and were scheduled to be arraigned on Friday, March 28, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
