Ridge, NY - March 26, 2015 - On March 21, 2015, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker attended Ridge Fire District’s Annual Installation Dinner at Majestic Gardens, celebrating more than 70 years of service to the community. Legislator Anker joined other elected officials in presenting awards to fire department volunteers.
“I want to thank the Ridge Fire Department volunteers for providing vital services in keeping our communities safe,” said Legislator Anker. “Due to the proximity of the Pine Barrens and the thousands of acres of open space the fire department oversees, their expertise is essential in addressing challenging forest fires.”
