3 Uniondale High School Students Arrested for Spending & Distributing Fake $20s

Uniondale, NY - March 25th, 2015 - The Major Case Bureau reports the details of three arrests for criminal possession of forged instruments that occurred in Uniondale on Wednesday, 03/11/15 at 11:00 A.M.

According to detectives, Melvin Pineda, 17, of Spring Ave., Uniondale; Teisean Kemp, 16, of 429 Cedar St., Uniondale; and Kquamel Jones, 16, of Terrace Ave., Hempstead, students of Uniondale High School, located at 933 Goodrich St., possessed and distributed several counterfeit $20 bills to other students, while at school. Additionally, on Sunday, 03/22/15, defendant Pineda made at purchase at BJ’s Wholesale Club located at 3635 Hempstead Tpke., using counterfeit bills.

On Tuesday, March 24, 2015, First Precinct police officers arrested the defendants at Uniondale High School.

Defendant Jones was found to be in possession of ten counterfeit $20 bills. Pineda is being charged with fifteen counts of Criminal Possession Forged Instrument.

Jones is being charged with ten counts of Criminal Possession Forged Instrument. Kemp is being charged with three counts of Criminal Possession Forged Instrument.

All three defendants will be arraigned on Wednesday, 03/25/15, in First District Court, Hempstead.
