Middle Island, NY - March 20, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who robbed a gas station in Middle Island earlier this month.
A man entered BP Gas, located at 975 Middle Country Road, on March 1 at approximately 5:30 a.m., and asked to use the bathroom. When the man came out, he displayed a handgun and demanded money from the cashier. The suspect, who left without proceeds, fled northbound on Currans Road in a dark-colored pickup truck with roof lights.
The man is described as white, in his mid to late 40s with gray hair. He was wearing a baseball cap, a dark jacket and gray sweatpants.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
