Three Teens Arrested After Assaulting 52 Year Old Female Victim

Suffolk County Police today arrested three teens that assaulted a 52-year-old female victim in Brentwood earlier this month.

Brentwood, NY - March 18th, 2014 - Suffolk County Police today arrested three teens that assaulted a 52-year-old female victim in Brentwood earlier this month.

On March 7 at approximately 3 p.m. a woman was walking along MacArthur Avenue when she was assaulted by three teens that punched her in the head, causing her to fall to the ground.  The teens then kicked the victim on her abdomen.  The suspects did not steal anything from the victim and there was no altercation prior to the attack.  The woman was transported to Southside Hospital where she was treated for a concussion and broken ribs.  

An investigation by Third Precinct Crime Section officers revealed the three teens below were responsible for the attack:

Wilfredo Torres, 17, of 186 Sherman St., Brentwood
Wayne Beavers, 16, of 7 20th Ave., Bay Shore
Qwatese Jarvis, 16, of 1593 East Forks Road, Bay Shore

All three were arrested today and charged with Assault 3rd Degree. They will be held overnight at the Third Precinct and are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on March 18.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
