NCPD Investigating Church Robbery

Elmont, NY - March 17, 2014 - The Fourth Squad is investigating a Burglary that occurred between March 16, 2014 and March 17, 2014 in Elmont.
 
According to detectives, a maintenance worker for St. Vincent De Paul Church, 1500 DePaul Street, locked and secured the church on Sunday, March 16 at 9:00 PM.  Upon returning on Monday, March 17 at 9:00 AM, the worker noticed that an unknown subject broke the left side basement boiler room window and entered the church. A free standing poor box as well as a wall mounted poor box was pried, but the subject did not gain entry.  A church desk was also damaged.  There were no proceeds.
