Wyandanch Man Arrested for Stealing Car Parts from Ford Dealership, Other Suspect Still at Large

Troopers were flagged down by a passing motorist whom notified them of a suspicious vehicle parked on Pulaski Avenue in the vicinity of the Riverhead Ford dealership.

Keenan Jones, 43, of Wyandanch, was apprehended. The driver of the vehicle is still at large.

Riverhead, NY - March 13, 2017 - On Monday, March 13, 2017 at approximately 2:15 am, Troopers from the Riverside Barracks, while on patrol in the Town of Riverhead, were flagged down by a passing motorist whom notified them of a suspicious vehicle parked on Pulaski Avenue in the vicinity of the Riverhead Ford dealership.  When the Troopers located the vehicle, a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe, it fled and a pursuit began.  The vehicle stopped a short time later and both occupants fled the scene on foot.  The passenger, Keenan Jones, age 43, of Wyandanch, was quickly apprehended.  However, the driver is still at large.  Several items, that were later found to be stolen from the Riverhead Ford car dealership, were located in the vehicle.

Mr. Jones was charged with Grand Larceny 3rd (D Felony), Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd (D Felony), Criminal Mischief 2nd (D Felony), Possession of Burglar Tools (A Misdemeanor) and Criminal Trespass 3rd (B Misdemeanor).  Mr. Jones is scheduled to be arraigned today.
