Two South Carolina Teens Arrested in Hempstead for Robbery, Menacing

Hempstead, NY - March 11th, 2014 - The Third Squad reports the details of a Robbery Arrest in Hempstead at 11:35am on March 11, 2014.
According to Detectives, at 12:36am two male subjects approached a twenty four year old male victim as he was sitting in the driver’s seat of his vehicle that was parked on Meadowbrook Road. The subjects were wearing bandanas over their faces and began to bang on the victim’s window. The victim in fear of his safety put his car into reverse colliding with the car behind him which in turn pushed into a third vehicle, belonging to the subjects. The subjects attempted to flee the scene in that vehicle but the accident caused significant damage to all three vehicles. The subjects then fled the scene on foot northbound on Fulton Avenue. No proceeds and no injuries were reported.
On March 11, 2014 both subjects were arrested by Hempstead Police when they filed a police report stating that their vehicle was stolen during a robbery. Arrested for these incidents were Demarrius Jackson, 19, of 839 Statler Road Columbia, South Carolina and Taron Fenner, 18, of 708 Old Manor Road Columbia, South Carolina. Both defendants are each charged with two counts Robbery 2nd Degree, Menacing 2nd Degree and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon 4th Degree. Defendant Fenner is additionally charged with False Written Statement. Both defendants will be arraigned on March 12, 2014 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
